PKTMumbai on Mar 30, 2015

It was monsoon and raining heavily in the western ghats. We had left Mumbai for Goa via NH-17 after my office hours. We had planned to visit Marleshwar temple on the way. By the time we reached Devrukh it was around 10 pm and pitch dark. With the help of reception boy we could reach the hotel. The staircase (no elevator in the hotel) was very vague and it appeared that we are passing through dungeon. On inspecting the assigned room, the lady came to the conclusion that it is not made for us. On request, we asked for a better room and the best room (A/c) was available- although it was quite cold and didnot require any A/c. Room was spacious and good. It was clean also but we insisted for a fresh linen change. The hotel guys were considerate enough to serve us hot Khicri. In the morning we found that the view from the window was spectacular. However, the bathroom was not meeting our requirement. There was deep layer of dust on the WC water container- so much so that I initially thought it was of brown colour!!! Since we had to leave for temple for taking blessings (it was our anniversary), we did not have breakfast. I found the hotel good enough for gtransit purpose and nothing more.
